About "The Veteran's Project of South Florida"

An Affiliate of SOFAR

A Joint Community Outreach Program of SEFAPP and The Florida Psychoanalytic Society (FPS)

With the increase in young men and women returning from war in Iraq and Afghanistan with post traumatic stress disorders and multiple mental health issues, and the lack of adequate services for these veterans, SEFAPP and The Florida Psychoanalytic Society has created "The Veteran's Project of South Florida", offering free mental health services to recently returning Reservists and their families in the South Florida community.

We are an affiliate of the National organization SOFAR (Strategic Outreach to Families of All Reservists), a pro bono mental health project that provides free psychological support, psychotherapy, psycho-education and prevention services to extended family of reserve and national guard deployed during the Global War on Terrorism from time of alert through the period of reunion and reintegration.  If you are outside of Florida, visit SOFAR for affiliates in your state.

Referral Contact:  If you are interested in our services, feel free to contact us via phone or email.  You will be contacted by a mental health professional in a private and confidential manner as quickly as possible.
